Abstract
This article focuses on the integration of Ukrainian refugees in the Czech Republic, emphasizing the analysis of socioeconomic, political, and cultural aspects that have defined this process since the onset of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022. The study is based on public data and examines the impact of migration on the structure of Czech society and its institutional framework. In this context, particular attention is given to key issues such as the dynamics of integration, the socioeconomic status of Ukrainian refugees, their inclusion in the labor market and educational system, and challenges related to housing and access to healthcare. The article does not solely view refugees as an economically active group but also explores their identity, ties to their homeland, and the degree of acceptance by the host society. A key aspect of this study is the analysis of potential scenarios for the political integration of Ukrainian refugees. The findings of this analysis demonstrate that the integration process of Ukrainian refugees and the Ukrainian minority as a whole is multifaceted and complex. It is influenced not only by socioeconomic factors but also by political decisions and cultural differences. The article provides a comprehensive overview of the opportunities and challenges for the future development of the Ukrainian community in the Czech Republic. The intensity and success of this integration will have significant implications not only for the refugees themselves but also for Czech society as a whole.
